The East Aurora School District Board of Education seeks a proven district level administrator, who has the ability to improve academic achievement in a diverse setting as the teaching and learning leader. The successful candidate will be a trustworthy individual of integrity who is capable of effective educational leadership and transparent communications with all stakeholders including approximately 1600 employees in a District located in the Chicago Metroplex.
This individual will be expert at listening and valuing the successes and ideas of staff in a collaborative manner, while building on the existing momentum and communicating about the future of the school District. A superintendent is sought, who seeks the input of staff and students, parents and the community. He/she will lead through strategic thinking, planning and implementing within a system of accountability on behalf of the Board of Education.
This superintendent will serve the varied educational needs of approximately 15,000 students in 23 schools. East Aurora School District’s next leader will demonstrate the qualities of an empathetic and equitable, yet decisive individual, who makes recommendations for decisions to the Board based upon Board-selected metrics (data).
The next individual to lead this District characterized by its size, diversity and funding model, and with a ‘can do’ attitude yielding a record of significant accomplishments, will do so while providing leaders with the opportunity to grow within and beyond their jobs. This outstanding open-minded, curriculum and instruction leader would be committed to live in the District and stay for a significant length of time ensuring stability, exemplifying a visible and approachable style of interacting with students, staff, parents and community.
