Sidwell Friends, a co-educational Quaker day school in N.W. Washington, DC, seeks a fifth grade teacher with a minimum of three years of upper elementary experience for its Middle School (Grades 5-8). The successful candidate must understand the age group, be able to work cooperatively with other teachers, be excited about working with children from diverse backgrounds, appreciate Quaker philosophy, and be competent in language arts, mathematics and social studies instruction. She/he will also be expected to teach an advisory program and maintain thorough communication with parents. Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s in Education preferred.
