The Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science (MS)2, is a STEM focused middle school located on the campus of Howard University. (MS) 2 is the only Public Charter School operating on the campus of a Historically Black College University. (MS) 2 is currently seeking committed, talented and enthusiastic Educators to work in a mathematics and science middle school with a heavy emphasis of incorporating technology into the curriculum.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an urban middle school setting; Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in their content area; A minimum of 2 years of experience or certification; possess a repertoire of classroom management strategies; understand differentiated learning; and be able to incorporate Common Core State Standards into to the content area. Applicants may be expected to teach a demonstration lesson before being considered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with experience.
