Jackson Street Elementary School serves approximately 340 students in grades K through 5 and every student is known and sees themselves, their culture, their language and their individuality celebrated and respected. The 65 faculty and staff are empowered to problem solve as a collaborative team and strive to create a caring atmosphere which promotes high expectations and lays the foundation for lifelong learning.
The principal will have a high degree of autonomy and trust and is expected to support appropriate autonomy and trust within the school. The principal is a member of the district leadership team and must be able to collaborate with other school and district leaders to implement policies and initiatives to promote the success of all students.

Current state licensure as an elementary principal
Knowledge of/experience with the following or comparable programs/methodologies:
Social Emotional Curricula, Second Step, Mindfulness, and Zones of Regulation
Readers and Writers Workshop
Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI)
Prior experience as an elementary principal
Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
