This position is responsible for providing support to the educational process with specific responsibilities for directing Learning Development programs and services; providing information and serving as a resource to others; achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines; and serving as a member of the leadership team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Communicates and collaborates with internal and external personnel for the purpose of implementing and/or maintaining services and programs.
Analyzes district professional learning requirements for the purpose of identifying relevant issues and implementing a plan of action that addresses need
Monitors professional learning services for the purpose of ensuring that performance outcomes are achieved within department and district objectives
Directs department operations, the maintenance of services and the implementation of new programs and/or processes for the purpose of providing services within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements.
Facilitates and/or participates in a variety of meetings (e.g. workshops, inter and intra district committees, community and public agencies, seminars, conferences, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects required to carry out their administrative responsibilities.
Guides development of systems, procedures and evaluation of programs for the purpose of continual improvement in effectiveness in meeting the educational needs of students.
Manages a wide variety of programs for the purpose of ensuring district compliance with established guidelines.
Monitors budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed.
Performs personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.
Prepares a wide variety of often complex materials (e.g. plans, budgets, funding requests, reports, analyses, recommendations, procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references, making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions.
Presents a wide variety of topics related to administrative responsibilities (e.g. financial information, overviews of programs/services, policies and procedures, etc.) for the purpose of providing general information, training others, and implementing actions.
Researches a wide variety of topics for the purpose of developing new programs/services, ensuring program compliance with established requirements, securing general information and/or responding to requests.
Performs other related duties as required/assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Master's Degree in a job related area
Minimum of eight (8) years of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required.
Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements
Missouri Administrator Certification required.
Ability to gain and maintain "Highly Qualified" status as defined by Missouri's Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.
