The Peoria Unified School District #11, Glendale, Arizona, Governing Board, is seeking a highly qualified and certified Superintendent. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position no later than July 1, 2024.
McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the governing board in identifying and screening the candidates.

The Qualifications
The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make.
The Peoria Unified School District seeks a Superintendent that:
- Demonstrates success in improving academic achievement for all students and a track record of making data-driven decisions.
- Is an emotionally intelligent, courageous, and confident leader with the ability to build trusting relationships with staff, parents and the community and demonstrates love of country.
- Has successful teaching and administrative experience in schools and districts similar to Peoria Unified with an understanding of the challenges that are represented by demographic diversity.
- Is an excellent communicator (speaking, writing and listening) and relationship-builder that models high integrity and ethics at all times.
- Is a financial steward of district resources with the ability to align funds to district priorities and communicate those decisions transparently and effectively to the staff and community.
