Prince William County Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and transformational leader to join our team. This individual will possess the skills and dispositions necessary to make a significant positive impact on our school community.
Position Overview:
As a key member of the Superintendent's staff, this role provides essential support and guidance to both the Superintendent and the School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing the planning, organization, administration, and management of all elementary schools within the assigned area division.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and mentorship to elementary school principals to ensure the successful operation of their schools.
Collaborate with the Superintendent and School Board to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
Oversee the administration and management of elementary schools, ensuring alignment with district goals and standards.
Perform related duties as required by the Deputy Superintendent.
Requirements
This position is effective July 1, 2025, and will remain open until filled. An initial screening of applicants will take place at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025. Applicants who apply after that date will only be screened and/or interviewed if a successful candidate is not selected from the applicant pool that applied prior to that date. An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
Minimum of 3 years previous successful principalship experience and knowledge of school leadership and instruction required.
Must hold or be eligible for a Postgraduate Professional certificate (Virginia) with an endorsement in Administration and Supervision.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, with respect to the operations of the schools and applicable educational standards, regulations, and guidelines
