The Fort Mill School District (FMSD) is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as superintendent of its growing school system, which serves more than 18,400 students and employs approximately 2,500 staff members. As one of the top-performing districts in South Carolina, FMSD is committed to excellence in education and preparing students for future success. • Salary for the successful candidate will be regionally competitive. The final salary and benefits for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications and meeting school board criteria.
• Applicants are required to hold or provide evidence of eligibility for South Carolina Superintendent Certification. Candidates are encouraged to obtain information about requirements for certification from the South Carolina Department of Education at: www.ed.sc.gov.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 28, 2025

Application and other required materials must be received by BWP & Associates no later than April 28, 2025. The Board expects to finalize the search by May 2025. It is anticipated that the new superintendent will officially assume this position on or before July 2025.
