Brentwood School, a vibrant and diverse K-12 independent school, is looking for an Associate Teacher (grade level TBD, K – 5) beginning in August, 2025. We are seeking individuals from independent, public, private, or charter schools. A Master’s degree/credential and student teaching experience is strongly desired. Brentwood Lower School Associates teach in an environment partnered with a Lead Teacher.

COMPENSATION: Brentwood School’s diverse and talented faculty includes Teaching Associates who are newer to the profession. The salaries for Associate Teachers range from $55,550 to $68,008 based upon years of experience beyond student teaching and education. Salary ranges do not include benefits i.e. 403b retirement matching, paid lunch time, free breakfast and lunch, free parking, subsidy toward medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D plans, and generous time off. The pay range is an estimate and is not guaranteed. If hired, your actual base salary will be determined by your education and experience.

Founded as a non-profit corporation in 1972, Brentwood School acquired the Brentwood Military Academy, which had existed since 1902. Brentwood School opened in the fall of 1972 as a co-educational, college preparatory day school with grades 6-10. Grade 11 was added in fall 1973, and the school graduated its first senior class in June 1975.
