The Public Schools of the Tarrytowns include students from the historic Villages of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow and is situated on the Hudson River 20 miles north of midtown Manhattan. The district, which follows the Princeton Plan, is ethnically and socio-economically diverse with high academic standards and achievement. Its caring and dedicated principals and faculty teach a population of approximately 2,600 students across five schools with 97% of its students graduating and 91% going on to higher education.   The District takes great pride in its culture and deep ties to the community with robust partnerships and high rates of volunteerism.
