About Washington Central Unified Union School District
Washington Central is a learning community made up of teachers, staff and students from the towns of Berlin, Calais, East Montpelier, Middlesex and Worcester; all classic, close-knit New England villages. These towns surround Montpelier, Vermont’s state capital, with U-32 as our Middle School and High School. The presence of state government, the home office of a national financial services company, a variety of post-secondary educational institutions, and a relatively well-educated population ensure that our students have many educational, social, and cultural opportunities.
Our mission statement: WCUUSD exists to nurture and inspire in all students the passion, creativity and power to contribute to their local and global communities.
